My name is Anna and I’ve been studying in Hunan First Normal University since April. Since then, I’ve met a lot of good Chinese students that keep helping us a lot. Chinese students helped us to adapt to the local culture and get used to it.
Our teacher are highly qualified professionals, they make their lessons interesting and informative. They are kind to us and are ready to explain something that we don’t understand.
Also the mangers and tutors of the university try their best to make us comfortable. When we asked them for help with the room conditions, they helped us as soon as it was possible. I like the city I study in, and I like my Chinese University! Hope I’ll even be working here one day.

大家好！My name is Kristina Bokova and I’m from Russia. As my university in Russia, which is Ulyanovsk State Pedagogical University, cooperates with Hunan First Normal University, from April of 2024 I became the exchange student of Hunan First Normal University in China. I could not even express my feelings when I realised that I could take this opportunity and move to China to study. My parents fully supported this idea and were even more sure that I should take such reasonable change of my life.
Coming to Changsha I was impressed by everyone’s kindness and warm attitude to each other. It became the first reason I fell in love with China. Then we came to the university area itself. The campus has everything we can only imagine: stores with lots of delicious snacks, a huge library, ponds with fish, canteens, coffee shops and lots of interesting places to explore. Our dormitory is also in great condition.
Talking about study process, everything is smooth. Our professors are very attentive to each student, they put maximum effort to make the course clear to us. We always do lots of practice during the classes which seems a bit terrifying at first but actually it is the best way to learn foreign language. I also like that teachers try to include not only academic knowledge but also cultural facts. This one is very much important for me because knowing the culture of the country is the key to successful communication with native people and understanding of their life.
Living in China and studying here is wonderful. It is the chance to travel around the country, to explore new provinces and cities, to meet people and make international friends. I am so thankful for this opportunity to study abroad and to live the best period of my life!

你好。My name is Karina, I’m from Russia and now I study at Hunan First Normal University. My Russian university cooperates with Hunan University, so they gave us a possibility to take part in an educational program which is 9 months long. My parents supported this idea and now I’m in China studying Chinese language and culture. I really like the educational program of Hunan First Normal University because it really improves my learning skills. My pronunciation, grammar, speaking and writing are getting better thanks to the professors and their lessons. The professors do their best to make the language accessible and understandable for all students. The condition of living is wonderful. The university has everything that students need: shops, canteens, playgrounds, comfortable dormitories, library, lots of wonderful events are held and etc. Besides Chinese lessons we have a great variety of additional courses. For example, we can study playing table tennis, dancing, folk arts,calligraphy, knotting and many others. It’s very important because we are in China not only for language but also for culture. So taking part in these activities is wonderful opportunity to meet new friends and feel real China. People who work and study here are very friendly, they always help us if we need. I love this university so much, I feel grateful and comfortable being part of it.

The professors here are very professional and open to communication, which creates a wonderful atmosphere for studying. The courses are well structured and the teaching materials are relevant and interesting.
In addition, I like the multicultural environment in which I study. I met many interesting people from different countries and learned a lot about other cultures. The university also offers many opportunities for extracurricular activities, which allows you to expand your circle of acquaintances and participate in various events.
